Eurooptic Experience

I have had good experiences with EuroOptic in the past, but after authorizing my return and accepting delivery they have refused to issue my refund for 3 months. I finally disputed the charge, and they are giving my bank the run around as well and saying the items I returned have burn marks on them! Which is absolutely insane, since I never wore the things let alone set them on fire.

What's worse, when I contacted them directly about it initially, they sent me an email on a Saturday saying that I had until Monday to withdraw my request or they would destroy the items.

As of now, I don't know if they have destroyed the items, but I have requested they retain them for evidence since I am filing complaints with every consumer protection agency I can think of. If anyone has any experience with these kinds of scams I would really appreciate any guidance you can provide.

This is all absolutely crazy to me.

I'm not here to say this will happen to anyone else, but after I took a week to cool off, I still wanted to put it out there to warn people that this company seems to have taken a turn for the worse.

Dang that’s crazy. I’ve spent thousands there and they’ve been great. But never needed to make a return.

What is the item in question? And why the hell would there be burn marks on it lol

It's a Fanatic jacket. I have no idea, honestly. My only guess is they must have somehow gotten their wires crossed on returns in their warehouse, but I included the RMA authorization in the box, so I'm really at a loss.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve purchased many items from them over the last couple of years and returned a couple of items along the way (for a variety of reasons) without any issues.

Good luck in resolving your ongoing saga.

Probably not a bad idea to start taking pics of return items before they go in the mail. Sounds like they got their returns mixed up but at this point it's your word vs theirs which isn't a good spot to be in. Hope they sort it out.

They are sponsors at Africa Hunting and he usually responds pretty quick. I would hit him on that site. It’s a high fence to get to the top sometimes , he’s all about customer service.

They've got some accounts over on snipers hide also. I like them, but have had some very frustrating experiences with how they ship things. I'm not alone base on how many waivers they make you sign about their deliveries being signature required.

I’ve used them. My frustration with a return was a rather large “restocking fee”. I just kept the item versus paying them $25.

I have great transactions with them over the years, but have never needed to return or exchange. Sorry to hear it’s been an ordeal!

How many people there have you talked to?

I had a brutal experience with a camo company but finally caught a guy who wanted to make it right and did so in short order. EO has been good to me.

Had a great experience with them, I've done lots of business with them. Zero issues when I needed to return a defective Athlon scope, issued the refund immediately.

Boringly reliable.

Always ready.

Great deals on Tikkas and deep discounts for Nightforce scopes that got handled a few times.

I bet they make it right once the right person gets involved.

Ask them for pictures of the jacket they have ?

I stopped using Eurooptics when I bought my last NF scope from them . It arrived in a box that had been opened and obviously unpacked , then stuffed back into the box . I called to point it out , I said I purchased a new scope , not a demo or return , they pretty much told me to pound sand . Last thing I'll buy from them.
