SWFA 3-9 question - no parallax adjustment, issue or no?

For those of you who have experience with the SWFA 3-9X42, have you found that the lack of a parallax adjustment is an issue or not?

I am contemplating picking one up to put on my shorty Encore. It is an Encore with a 17" 7-08 barrel on it. With my current load of Varget under a 120 grain NBT, it is good to right at 500 yards. As all of the other rifles that I shoot past 300 yards all have parallax adjustments and I dial it right after I dial for elevation, so I can't say that I have had an issue with parallax since I started shooting longer ranges.
My gut tells me that I should be fine, but I am also starting to shoot from "field positions" more and that leads to not being "perfectly behind" the gun at times.

Anyway, just looking for input one way or another.

you’re fine. The Swfa lack of parallax hasn’t ever cost me an animal. Just takes some extra a Even with scopes with adjustable parallax, when hunting I set it normally to 300 and don’t think about it again.

Solid scope for any rifle

Thank you, gents. I will get one ordered up and prepare for another round of "musical scopes" in the gun room.

Just put one on my dad’s gun an upgrade to the Cabela’s pine ridge scope I had upgraded from a Weaver when the gun went wacky years ago.
I’m not a good shooter, but I have 2” steel at 100 yards, 4” 200 yards, and 6” at 300 and 400 yards. I’m hitting it all and I’m not good, building poor positions with a Harris bipod and Caldwell front bag. Sweet dead simple scope I am totally satisfied with it. Got it on a 20 inch barrel gun with a 6 inch silencer so the scope hangs down and gets bumped against the door as the silencer end digs into the floor when it’s in the front seat. I can’t knock that gun off.

Oooh! That's my favorite game!

Sometimes I lay awake in bed and think about how to shuffle my scopes to create the perfect lineup.

I’m glad I’m not the only one! I spend more timing thinking which of my pile of stocks I’m gonna switch around but scopes as well

Agree no issue, I really questioned it before I got one because parallax or lack of was an issue for me on other scopes in the past.

Whatever they do with the 3-9 SWFA it just works

Although, the SS 3x9 is a great scope that I use a lot, you can't say that parallax is a "non-issue". BUT, if you practice enough and your eye box is repeatable, it becomes less a problem at long ranges than being able to fine tune for parallax.

Wind is way more an issue for long range shooting than parallax.

What experiences have you had where it was an issue?

Quick answer, No.

C_Does has a great youtube video on that scope I would recommend watching it for the long answer.

Sure, in theory its an issue. In reality, at the ranges you are talking about, its an advantage. Unless you’re seeing significant scope shadow the error isnt enough to matter, and it avoids the issue of pulling up and having to refocus for a closer shot because your parallax is a blur. On balance I consider it an advantage.

no issue homie. I kind of like that there's one less thing to mess with on that scope. The scope seem to be built very well but still its one less system to malfunction.
