I also built an e-bike out of a trek 29er. Used a 1000w Bafang motor. A mid-drive will run circles around a hub-drive in the woods. Around $1k for the kit and it’s pretty easy to do yourself

Where did you get the rifle bike mount? It looks really good! How well does it work when you are trying to steer down a hill or up a hill?
On Amazon, it seems to work well with shorter rifles. I also use it for my bow.

Its a little tight fitting it into the back of my truck with a canopy, if I were to change anything i would have them on a quick detach style mounting.

I own a Himiway Zebra, specifically a step thru model. The step thru design allows for much easier mounting/un-mounting when one is wearing bulkier than usual clothing/boots designed for the winter type climate I often deal with here in Michigan.
It does well in the modestly rolling open field terrain, trails and unimproved two tracks I use to access my hunting areas but I do not ride it thru the usually limb and stick littered woods for fear of spoke damage.
Tire damaged is not much of a concern as additional added liners will get me out of all but the worst conditions.
