Um…I dunno about that. Read Alive or many of the sea survival stories. They are quite rational about it.

In Alive, when the one fellow goes for help, the others agree not to eat his sister and mom unless all the others were eaten first. And he packs along with him frozen human meat for his journey.

In the sea survival scenario, they’d cast lots to determine who would be killed and eaten first.

I can point out the specific books where these are recounted if you’d like.

Several historical accounts of explorers stranded resorted to cannibalism of the dead. I would do it. I have thought about it multiple times before. But if he’s dead and I’m gonna live. It’s what he would want.

- 3 days without water
- 3 weeks without food

This question makes no sense to me, even in the hypothetical. Where are you talking about hunting that you can't get yourself back to civilization in 3 weeks, Antarctica?

I Agree with the above post.

I'm not saying I wouldn't but it would the only the most dire / extreme of circumstances.

I can't see not being able to kill small or large game, fish or forage for grubs, bugs, worms, nuts or berries prior to cannibalism. Dang, I'd eat tree bark first.

Like said above, you can go a long time without food. If you can forage a little here and there then much longer.

I came from the state where Ed Gein and Dahmer did their nasty. Dahmer was holed up in prison not far from where I grew up. This thread is a bit disturbing. Christ, go shoot something and eat it. Even birds or squirrels. If you can't kill something to survive, you might want to think of not going into the wilderness.
