Submitted a form3 today on a PC (chrome) vs my normal Mac/safari. The process was better/faster, I'm just not sure if it was due to the new web site format or my browser switch. I'm hoping its the site

It's up and running now. Pretty slow but it's been down and the users attempting to get in right now, reset passwords update profiles etc cant be helping. I had a silencershop customer of mine go on and create and account with his silencershop account email and he is now registered on there. so far so good...here's the new user login guide again

I’m doing mine thru SilencerShop. I got everything on SilencerShop squared away I think. I created an account on the atf eform website. Do I need to submit the form on their website or just need to be registered

I'm pretty sure you just have to be registered. You'll need your username and pin for when your dealer calls you to get your Eform squared away.

As Kyle indicated your dealer will need your pin. And Elite level Silencershop dealers will be getting their applications submitted initially, maybe 2 weeks before the rest of us powered by dealers. Patience is king

Ok thanks. I’m going thru a store that is a “Elite level dealer”. I went into the shop and used the kiosk but other than that seems like SilencerShop website has been handling everything else.

Just finding out about the eforms route after getting the process started on my second muffler a couple weeks ago. I just wish Silencer Shop would make it more clear which route current applications are going. My kiosk process was the same as when I went through it with the first, a year ago, and I don’t think I’ve set up an ATF efile account unless SilencerShop did it for me. But it sort of looks like it’s going eform when I look into my SilencerShop account. I signed some docs via docusign and my account preferences are eform. I’ll probably give my shop holding the can a call next business day to know for sure.

I'm a month in on a silencer shop purchase. They held mine, like yours I'm sure, and will put them through as e-file unless you change your preference soon. Log in and check for yourself. If it says check cashed then you went paper. Toggle the paper or e-file button to change preference.

Is anyone else having trouble creating an eForms account? The drop downs for the “Country” and “State” selection are not populating for me.

The drop downs are now working but now there appears to be a red box that pops up whenever I try to “Register” my information that says they are unable to complete registration. Is anyone else experiencing problems like this?

consider trying the registration process during late nite hours. I know the site went down for a few hours this morning. There is a ton new traffic on there right now...sucks your soul out watching the death wheel spinning and spinning

How is this looking for the average slightly knowledgeable guy that uses a small time ffl/sot?

Is it improving or viable yet?

Hard to tell @Msowa might be able to shed some light, as he's a SOT. I had to call ATF to get my password reset, and then I couldn't change it from the password they gave me as a temp. Lol. I really, really want this to work, but I'm not optimistic that it will actually work well for at least 6 months.

My experience with the new site is limited to filing Form3 transfers and based on that the site is significantly faster. Anxious to get final directions from Silencershop on what dealers and customers will need to do going forward. Plenty of bugs to sort out

I’m half tempted to just file on paper. Worried I’m going to be three months in before I get a call being already over a month in. Feel like I loaned 200 bucks to silencershop at this point.

Even if it takes six months instead of three. That’s still a hell of a lot faster than what the paper fillings have been.

What has paper been doing?
In 2019 mine was 10 months i think.

Around 9 to 12 months, Last I checked. I am at 130 days on my first one and 115-ish on my second. Not that I’m keeping track or anything.

I plan on ordering a third one at silencer shop when they get some back in stock. Their inventory is pretty thin right now
