Anybody have any stories from this hunt? I'm pretty sure I've read about everything online I can find. Just getting a bit excited I guess ,always interested in anybody's feedback. If your bored and feell like telling me about your hunt I'm all ears. This is the late season motorized hunt in the Delta management area. Thxs for any replies.

I've done it with a friend who drew it. We mtn biked and walked in 25 miles 2 days before the DS204 motor hunt opener even though we could have motored in. He got his ram. 2 years later I and another friend drew DS203 (walk in) and we did the 25 mile bike/march again. We got two rams on that one.

Any pics? Sounds like they were some awesome hunts.

I scored DS204 back in 2010, after about 13 years or so of putting in for it, and flew in. It's a great hunt for sure. I would suggest treating this hunt like a once in a life time, because it very we'll could be. Congrats, good luck to you and enjoy yourself.

I drew DS203 a few years ago, if you run a search on the Alaska forums you'll find it if you haven't already. My buddy and I also drew DS204 this year and we'll be flying in. Not that I didn't enjoy the 20 mile death march last time but definitely looking forward to catching a lift on the supercub on this one!! Good luck

Not to be nit-picky ...but I guess I am....this would be in DCUA [delta controlled use area] vs DMA [delta management area] which is Donnelly dome and the city of Delta.........it gets confusing as the other good draw is TMA [tok management area]....just saying.

I did it three years ago at age 69 and figured that's my last one but I was out on quad hauling a caribou for a friend on 8/26 last year and saw a pile of sheep.....low enough for this Geezer to try em.

Alaskan89 thxs for the great story, good readin. I had originally thought I was going to bring my meat wagon and bigger tent and basically
Setup and hunt like yourself. But decided to bring just the wheeler and sheep gear and ride as far as I can, then start walking. You kind of have
Me thinking again. I would like to ask you if you were able to get away from other sheep hunters, I read that u said some other hunters had shot
a ram you had been looking at. Besides that, did you see any other sheep hunter activity in your general area? It doesn't seem like a real big area, with limited trails
To get back into the mountains I guess I'm expecting to see a few people. Thxs for the pics and good read, great ram too btw.

I saw a few other hunters while I was there but there's enough terrain for everyone to hunt. I've found that the later you go, the better the hunting and most hunters have turned their pursuits to moose.

Shoot me a pm and I can give you some info if you're headed into the same area I hunted.
