Downsides of blaze orange bino harness over other solids/camo?

Anyone know if there is a downside to getting a blaze orange bino harness? Was going the get the Fhf but was curious if it would be better to get a different solid color. I know the blaze orange won’t matter for rifle but I do plan on eventually bow hunting in Colorado too and read somewhere that the uv light reflection of the blaze orange could easily be picked up on by deer/ ungulates

If it were me, and the first or only one I plan on buying, I'd go with a more versatile solid color. I used mine a lot for turkey hunting as well as deer and small game. I also use it when on hiking or road trips with my wife. Coyote brown or ranger green don't look quite so "hunterish" when just out with the family.

That being said, I now own (3) different chest rigs/bino harnesses.

I've spent some amount of money converting to various orange layering options and a puffy for rifle hunting because I hate dealing with non functional vests, but a bino harness isn't enough surface area unto itself to serve the legal purpose of wearing blaze orange. Since you'll have to wear additional orange anyway in the form of a vest at a minimum, or a orange shirt/jacket, I see no advantage to buying an orange bino harness.

not looking hunterish is just caving to the anti hunter community...don't ever be embarrassed of your passion. Nobody else is in showing their passions.

Its unclear from your post -is wearing blaze orange caving to the anti hunter community? Or, is not wearing blaze orange caving to the anti hunting community?

On one hand, I suppose nothing says, "I'm a hunter" like a blaze orange hat on the dashboard. On the other hand, I'm more inclined to believe the intent of your post is "wear your camo proudly like Uncle Ted (Nugent) says."

Its an interesting question: Does wearing extra blaze orange make one "louder and prouder" than wearing more camo, or is it the other way around? And, if you choose to wear more camo to avoid "caving" to the anti hunters, is that a fashion statement or a philosophical stance? What if you wore a blaze orange hat with the word "HUNTER" in the largest font possible stamped across it? Is that louder and prouder than wearing a nondescript camo hat, or does camo win every time?

Should we have a "(blaze) orange pride parade or a "camo nation" parade?

The answers to these questions remain elusive to me.

I don’t see any reason for blaze orange. As mentioned above, it doesn’t meet sqin requirements for blaze anyway, you still need a vest. I agree that solid tan or green would be the most versatile. If you’re bow hunting, you might consider camo too.
