Dog Training in Middle Tennessee

Hi all -- does anyone have any recommendations for dog training in the middle Tennessee area? Also willing to drive a few hours. I'm in Columbia, TN.

I have a 13 week old Lab and I'm looking to find a reputable gun dog trainer for ducks and birds.

Thanks all.

Following along. I'm currently training a goldendoodle myself to see if she has any potential but curious to see whose names pop up

Off the top of my head.
Pretty close to you
t
scott chaney-tupelo ridge retrievers
scott greer- north fork retrievers
Jimmy rodgers-mallard run is in kentucky

Richard meisemann- rwm retrievers alabama
Adam Campbell- hillside kennels alabama

Stephen durrance -taylor farm kennels- georgia

Any of those guys would be great I have personally ran with a bunch of them and my friend that got me into retriever games has ran with all of them.

I would look up Nick Adair from GDIY. He’ll be able to at the very least point you in the right direction and he has some awesome tips and tricks for training.

Nick Young at Willow Point Retrievers in Lexington and Matt James over around the Greenfield area are two more good ones not mentioned above.

I’d learn to run dog first or at the same time. Paying someone to build you a dog you can run lends to being a waste of time and money. They aren’t robots. There’s a lot you will need to learn and do as well. Not that you can’t, but as a handler as a profession, so many people ask you build them a dog and they don’t realize the commitment and maintenance required to keep a dog a bare minumum
