Dog Food

What about food for a regular family lab who exercises a few times per week and hunts upland hard 6-8 times in the fall? Is Royal Canin any good?
Yea, family pet that lays infront of fireplace or professional working k9, we want them all eating clean at lest, like us

Been feeding Pro Plan Sport since my lab was a pup. Going on 8 years now with zero health issues, even in peak season it has enough protein to keep her bulked up.

We feed Pro Plan as a puppy, but our Griff had allergy issues. Made the switch to Inukshuk once she was grown. Now she is off her allergy meds and doing great.

I mean look at this hairdo:

What allergy symptoms were you seeing. My lab has allergies. Vet said most like chicken or beef. Switched to Taste of the Wild, grain free with lamb. This has helped but still gets these small bumps on legs and chest. Give her meds for a couple days and clears up.

If you wanna see if it’s something in the food you can go to a boiled chicken type diet for a week and see if there are any other changes. If it’s long term you need to add in other nutrients

She was very itchy, had rashes on her feet that would get infected and hair loss. Apoquel took care of it quickly, but we prefer not to do it long term. Once we switched foods for a while then we eased her off the meds. Little itchy now and then, but nothing major.

Do you know what she was allergic to?
