DNZ + Howa Mountain Alpine

Looking for some help in selecting a ring height for a new scope / rifle combo. I’ve got the Howa Mountain Alpine in .308 and am adding a Vortex Crossfire II in 6-24x50. Can I sneak into a medium height setup or will I need a high height?

I called DNZ this morning and the tech was on the bubble between the 2. Anybody have any hands-on experience with this combo?

This is a Howa (not alpine) medium rings with a 44mm. Medium may work.
