Disregard politics or people what’s the worst state to live in?

Couldn't disagree more. ND is pretty awesome actually. Given that responds, it won't surprise anyone that I totally disagree with the OP on his view of Kansas. The reasons he dislikes it are some of the reasons I like it.

Different strokes for different folks...
Explain your position? To me the barren landscape doesn’t suggest anything fun to do.

North west Kansas is quite pretty with nice rolling hills. Probably good hunting. Eastern Kansas, is lots of flat nothing. Been all over the states and could find places in almost everyone I would like to live. Also lots of places that you couldn’t pay me to live, more of the those.

You need to get out more lol

If it wasn't for my family I would have left this state long ago. I know that the politics and cost of living suck in a place like Colorado. But I would move there in a heartbeat. I could spend forever in the mountains hiking, hunting and fishing.

As a guy that lives in Colorado, I’m ready to get out. The mountains are packed everywhere, every single weekend. There’s no escaping it. That includes hunting season.

Politics are ruining it, really fast.

I can’t go anywhere this second, but Wyoming is calling my name down the road.

I’d highly recommend doing research on living here before pulling the trigger.

So I’ve been to NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, WV, KY, FL, AL, LA, MS, MO, AR, IN, KS, TX, OK, PA, IL, OH and Maryland. Out of all of those. I have spent days not just passing through. I have no desire to ever see Kansas again. Fence post, fence post, fence post, tree and so on for miles and miles. I am not a fan of driving in Dallas though.

I have been going out there hunting since 2011. Either I am used to a whole bunch of people in Ks. Or the places I have been in Colorado people just haven't found yet. The tourist towns are packed, but up in the mountains I find it to be fairly void of people.

Treeee?? You must have went to a different Kansas.

North Dakota. God lost his imagination in that state
When i worked for a regional convenience store chain 20 years ago, the guy that drew the short stick had to service the POS systems and fuel controllers at all our stores in ND and eastern MT. I drew that stick one time, and I94 is a soul-sucking wasteland. I swear that road doesn't veer more than a couple degrees north or south for hundreds and hundreds of miles. Monotony with a giant capital M. Granted this was before the oil boom, maybe its better now.

+1…. Only good place in FL you have to drive off the end of it to get to!
Also think some of the worst hunting opportunity in the lower 48
Serious question, is there any hunting in Florida?
Went to Key West and really enjoyed it. Don't think I could afford to live there.

Probably true. But your opinion of ND is still just an opinion. I LOVE ND! You're also not going to change my mind on that topic. I live in MN once again and that's a state that a person can totally understand why you left it! But, that's primarily for a reason the OP said we're not supposed to consider (but not accounting for state politics is unwise imo). It's one reason why ND is still a great state while many formerly great states have turned to complete shit.

I just finished driving home to New Mexico from Virginia. I don’t think I could hack it in Oklahoma. Northern Texas was pretty bleak, too.

On the flip side, western Virginia and eastern Tennessee were incredible.

This particular Oklahoma evening had turkeys gobbling, our resident owl hooting, cattle and horses grazing all within sight/hearing distance. I used to want to move until I found this place.
