I don't think so. I was on the phone at my desk and putting the caps on at the same time, so if it did, it wasn't louder than the conversation.Did it hiss? I accidentally did that on a scope too before and heard a pressurized hiss... ooops!

There's a leaf spring opposite the mid point between the two copper pieces. You can see it is against the tube that holds the reticle, and then can see the other end that's fixed to the tube body.I don’t understand what I’m looking at. The threaded copper is the turret adjustment, is the crosshair lense free floating?
