Defective SWFA have me the chance to see what's inside

Had a new 10X arrive today from SWFA's black Friday sale. When wiggling on the butler creek cap, the objective spun freely enough I thought that it was the sun shade. It wasn't.

Ive never looked inside a scope, so here you go.

I’ve taken apart my wife’s Simmons scope (don’t ask, she refuses to upgrade) and I can tell you with confidence it was not that beefy inside.

Interesting.

It just occurred to me that one benefit to having a no questions asked warranty is that guys will send your broken scopes back to you instead of cutting them open on the internet and laughing at what you hid inside.
