Dead predator pics

Couple of us doubled up on this guy recently. A rare summer coyote for us as most of our ground is in row crops.

Also got to break in the new hunting rig.

Running a custom 25x47 Lapua in my AR-15.
85 grn Nosler BT at 3382fps - 24" Krieger barrel.
10 yotes & 3 hogs total...

It Was infested with yotes.
Both the land owner, and the guy that runs the cow/calf operation believe I can walk on water...
The deer and the turkey are doing better now as well.

Good shooting on the yotes. That will help reduce predation on the fawns & turkey. Really like the "headache" shot !

How bad do they run w/ bow shots?

I know they can run pretty dang far if the gun shot is not immediately vital.

I have only shot 2 with my bow, but neither made it out of sight, both spun around in circles and then made a short sprint

I remember tracking one a long way rifle shot (hit it back a little shooting it on the move) probably 5-600yds down a nasty thick ridge, and found it in a creek under a log still alive and had to finish it off there. One of the most unpleasant recoveries I’ve ever been a part of, and haven’t shot one on the move since

Tough creatures if you don’t make a good shot, even a coyote deserves better than that imo

Thanks! Tried to hit a couple spots where landowners had issues recently. The one with the headache came out of a cattle pasture full of cows and calves.

Momma cows were not happy when we went in to get him
