While I'm recuperating from Hiatal Hernia repair surgery, notice some pics from the Dove Opener 2023 that I hadn't posted yet.

At a certain point the strong winds just killed opportunity on Doves at this one hidey spot, so it changed into a Coyote Calling session.

Was soo crazy because this one?... He was doing a bit of eye movemnet and jaw movement still, and I still saw chest/rib movement, so I plugged him center chest for coup de grace so I wouldn't be ruining his back fur... and I aimed that one right up close and made it run longitudinally through his body so as to not hurt the fur on his back.. and he STILL had movement showing in his abdomen for a bit afterward!

Was crazy windy too.

It's CRAZY sometimes to see what kinda punishment their bodies take and they STILL don't fully expire all the way sometimes! Random nerve firing etc.

They are only out during the daytime and that is when the fox comes. I can't be there in the day when I am working. I have had her let them out on a Saturday when I am there, but they never show then. I have killed a few in the late evening, but I think it may have been a lot of luck.
OIC. Yeah so if you come home after dark or whatever, they're gonna know somethin's up if you play chicken sounds, when they should already be roosted-up and sleeping I suppose.

Ya never know though... hungry is hungry, and it's my understanding that foxes REALLY like to kill chickens, so like maybe if you setup with the eCaller with their sounds.. but at a location more remote from your domicile and their coop, so it'll seem like they've caught them ungaurded so to speak, perhaps?

But man.. I'd be REAL surprised if you had like a FoxPro X24, just playing Baby Jack, and they didn't come in to that. I LITERALLY... one time... hade a yote come in at something like 8 seconds of playback! Must have been close by already without knowing I was there because of all the cover from all the Junipers.

It's that fidelity you get with a tweeter that goes up nice and high in frequencies. While they can hear up to 44Khz, if the tweeter on your eCaller goes up to like 21Khz that should be quite realistic, even more so at 25Khz as a top-end for a tweeter. (But remember the other half of that, is locating a good recording of high fidelity as well! 256Kbs or 320Kbs BitRate encoding preferred to take advantage of that beautiful tweeter it has, 192Kbps isn't too degraded though, just not quite as life-like, that your human ears can tell.)

the hole is made from the eyehole to behind the upper lip, out the mouth.... everything is behind the skin of the face with nothing punched thru the hide to ruin it for fur sale or taxidermy
