Was in SD with a friend last weekend.
Made 11 stands on Saturday and called up 13 coyotes including the ones that would hang up at 400 to 500 yards.
Ended up with 3 in the box but we should have had 8. A few misses and a few mistakes on not covering terrain that should have been covered. IMG_4506.jpeg

This one ran 18 deer out of my woods when I was on the back porch yesterday. Then had the nerve/stupidity to sit at the edge of the woods waiting for her next move. Unfortunately for her her next moves left a nice blood trail. 1735051706171.jpeg

Waited for the fog to clear this morning, then went to a spot I killed a triple on last year. Sat in the same exact spot as last year, and got the same results. Last one was playing peek a boo on the back side of a hedge tree.

Need to put them in the trapping thread too.
Congratulations, that's a great day right there!!
Thanks..It's my rookie season trapping not sure if I qualify..lol...never even held a trap till Nov, got a started kit and went down a youtube rabbit hole.
Farm I hunt on wanted me to try it this year...I already swap chores for access, trapping is now part of my chores...just using dirt hole sets around recentently timbered and replanted parcels.

Trapping is a dying art, and one of the most rewarding forms of killing an animal, you have to get an animal to step exactly where you want it too. Outsmarting the smartest animals in the landscape.
Good job!
