Dead Air Nomad Ti XC

This is something I’ve wondered myself too, don’t see the point of the added cost over DT. I have 3 main guns and only 2 cans at the moment and have no problem swapping them around when needed. The rifles that have been 1/2x28 get a $20 5/8x24 adapter loctited on and they’re ready for whichever can I choose to screw on. 🤷‍♂️

I got 419 setup when I first got a suppressor because adapters were cheaper than tbac CBs for every gun. But now with 3 cans and more likely soon, I have no desire to buy hub adapters for every can when they already come with perfectly good direct threads that are lighter and shorter.

I used to have issues with the different thread directions too but that went away when I just started cranking things down real tight.

Are there any 15% off sales that regularly happen every year with any bigger vendors? That coupon code at Bauer was a nice discount but ended yesterday. I'm hoping I can find a discount on one late spring/early summer if I decide to go with the ti xc over UMs reflex suppressor.

It's been noted somewhere above the tone of the ti xc is great. Has anyone been able to compare it to the raptor an with reflex on?
Bauer has 10% site wide code "president" now.

Comparison against the Nomad TI for any interested... both direct threads. Both weights were when new. My Nomad Ti has gained .4 oz over a few hundred rounds.

Hyperion K is also still a really good 3d printed Ti option. Bit heavier and requires a sig taper with small shoulder barrels, but has been solid.

Curious your thoughts on suppression between the new and old.

I'm hoping to try out the new in a week or so... haven't shot it yet.

Edit to add: the guy at the shop said it's been his absolute favorite can, and he prefers it over the original nomad Ti and over the Scythe. They have had to send several Scythe's back and haven't sent any of the new Nomads back yet.

Here's the Xeno mount and muzzle adapter weight. Going with a ti direct thread cap will save a lot of weight. My A419 ti mount and hellfire muzzle adapter weight 2.3oz.

Not exactly, taking the Xeno Xero mount will nock that down to 3.5 oz while the direct thread is 1.6 oz. The Area 419 mount is 2.3 oz and I don’t have a weight on just the muzzle adaptor but I believe the total weight wasn’t much off the Xeno.

@CMP70306, Thats the weight of the hardware that shipped with both my Nomad TI XC and LTI XC.

This is the ti a419 hub mount, with the hellfire adapter screwed into it. Quite a bit lighter than the steel version. It's only 1.2+- oz lighter than Xeno xero. However the Xeno system adds unnecessary length, the a419 system mounts more inside itself. I'm not saying one system is better than the other. I do like the A419 as it's taper with an o-ring inside.

A ti direct thread adapter from another manufacturer, say Rearden, only weighs 0.73oz.

I gave my Dad all my Xeno stuff and run the Area 419 mounts on my rifle. I went with the Area 419 as it was cheaper and shorter but I keep feeling like I’m going to damage those tiny threads compared to the ones on the Xeno mount.

Sooo does anyone know why DA sells the Ti XC with the direct thread mount but the LTi XC comes with their Xeno mount Omni brake setup??

When I got my LTi XC the first thing I noticed was the Xeno/Omni brake setup seemed kind of heavy so I set it aside and ordered their direct thread mount. Unfortunately, I didn't do my research because I could have ordered one made out of Ti for the same price as the steel one I got from DA and saved another ounce or so in weight.

If anyone is looking for a DA Xeno mount/Omni brake I have a new unused one I'd be happy to sell.

You're not wrong. The Xeno mount and flash hider weigh 4.825oz vs their 5/8x24 direct thread mount is 1.615oz.

Noah purchased last week. Waiting for it to arrive at LGS. Going to purchase the TI XC this week....

Fortunately had a great night at the craps table so the second can is essentially free.
I miss craps…it’s been a bit. That’s awesome. I did clean up at a local poker game a few weeks back. Didn’t think of it in terms of cans I could buy but maybe I need to start!

I sent my order for one to DA yesterday. Fortunate to have access to their Guardian Program, I am just hoping they have some in stock to be sent out to my dealer quickly. This will be my first can, very excited to get it and dive in!

Did a Form 4 on my Ti XC today at my LGS. Hope to pick it up this week. Very excited to use it on my competition rifle with a RecoilX brake.
Do you have the RecoilX? I ordered a few on Feb 1st, still haven't shipped. These are the only parts he sells, obviously someone else is manufacturing with this production schedule.

Bought a Nomad Ti on Monday for my lightweight AR 308. First can so it's in jail until the approval comes through. Used a thermal and suppressor on a hog hunt last week and they were amazing.

Have you been around those recoilx brakes yet?
I'm just wondering is there is a way to time them?
Gotta be I'm assuming, but the website is very vague
