Dalton HWY Closure

For those headed north, I would keep an eye on Alaska DOT info and Alaska511. Road is washed out in numerous places and they shut down the highway earlier today.

Also, there have been several report land slides and water on the road from Coldfoot to Atigun Pass.

Oh no, I might be stuck on the north slope. That would be so bad if I couldn’t get back to work. Oh no.

Left pump 3 around 10:30am yesterday and it was getting bad south of Coldfoot. Lots of rain and water on the road, sounds like I left just in time!

Thanks for the update. I was planning to head up there this weekend.... may need to change plans
