Manzella Precision has that reamer, and cuts prefits. Tikkas hold decent headspace tolerance, but aren't nominal, he's cut quite a few. The starter thread also isn't timed, so barrel engraving could land anywhere. He'd prefer you send the action. Just an option....

Fisher bedded a McMillan and threaded/installed a brake for me. Does outstanding work. He's local so I'm able to drop off at his shop.

I’m sending him a barrel for alpha dasher shortly.
The “suppressed dasher” one by chance? That caught my eye, looks like basically an additional thou in freebore diameter and a half thou taper in neck dia I assume to allow a little more carbon fouling? Reminded me of that thread about chamber specs for people who never clean.

Looks like a little more freebore diameter. I’m just going standard alpha dasher, 1.25” straight barrel at 24”.

If I like it, which I’m assuming I will. I’m going to chamber the same in a 20” osprey taperless and use that for most hunting.

@wind gypsy and anyone else interested.

I got my barrel back from Fisher t&c, machine work looks excellent, headspace is fine and brass is growing what I’d expect. He was easy to work with and got back to me timely with any questions.

I’ll be sending him another blank here soon for the same treatment.

But 6 dasher…. should have done it a long time ago.

Dam boi…. She thicccc!! I can’t talk my 6GT is an M24 cut at 20”. I want to put it on but told myself I’d finish the factory barrel 243 testing.
Heavy is good for match use. This rifle has had proof comp contours and a couple MTU on it now, but this is my first 1.25” straight and I’m liking it already. Less weight bolted on to balance it need to take a bunch off the front.

Have only screwed on an ultra 7 so far. Looks like it’s part of the barrel, cb brake is smaller than the muzzle shoulder!

Shooting a suppressor in matches, I like it heavy.IMG_1158.jpeg
