Got a fresh Bartlein on the way. What smiths are cutting tikka prefits without the action? Most likely a 7-6.5prcw
I’m sending him a barrel for alpha dasher shortly.I had a good experience with Manzella but did send my tikka action to him.
Another I haven’t used but is on the list of guys I’d give a try if I wanted a prefit without sending an action is Fisher T & C. He has that reamer listed. https://www.fishertandc.com/reamers
The “suppressed dasher” one by chance? That caught my eye, looks like basically an additional thou in freebore diameter and a half thou taper in neck dia I assume to allow a little more carbon fouling? Reminded me of that thread about chamber specs for people who never clean.I’m sending him a barrel for alpha dasher shortly.
Looks like a little more freebore diameter. I’m just going standard alpha dasher, 1.25” straight barrel at 24”.The “suppressed dasher” one by chance? Where are they located?@wind gypsy and anyone else interested.
I got my barrel back from Fisher t&c, machine work looks excellent, headspace is fine and brass is growing what I’d expect. He was easy to work with and got back to me timely with any questions.
I’ll be sending him another blank here soon for the same treatment.
But 6 dasher…. should have done it a long time ago.
Chase is around Lewistown Montana I believe. Shot a few matches with him.Where are they located?
Apologies, I meant Fisher T&C.Chase is around Lewistown Montana I believe. Shot a few matches with him.

Dam boi…. She thicccc!! I can’t talk my 6GT is an M24 cut at 20”. I want to put it on but told myself I’d finish the factory barrel 243 testing.I’m just going standard alpha dasher, 1.25” straight barrel at 24”.
Heavy is good for match use. This rifle has had proof comp contours and a couple MTU on it now, but this is my first 1.25” straight and I’m liking it already. Less weight bolted on to balance it need to take a bunch off the front.Dam boi…. She thicccc!! I can’t talk my 6GT is an M24 cut at 20”.
