Customized Hoyt Matrix

I got a Matrix in a trade deal awhile ago. Never shot it much. Factory Paint was chippin off and looked kinda crappy. I decided to paint it. ASAT seemed like an easy pattern to go with.

So I spray painted the riser with duracoat paint.
Turned out pretty well. Gonna go with black limbs with this riser.

I also pulled the silly roller guard off of it and put on a normal cable slide.

I will post some pics when I put it back together. Just wanted to share with you.

Maybe a couple fps. But nothing to worry about. Smoother draw, easier to tune, better hold at full draw, and less cam lean.

Looks great Justin ! To get this straight , you painted that , not a wrap ? Is this some kind of stencil if that is a paint job ? I've gone with Asat as a camo and that would look cool on a rifle I think.

Yes sir. Spray painted using duracoat paint. Supposedly duracoat is very durable..(used for firearms).

I painted the bow all black. Then I put painters tape for the black marks I wanted. Then I painted it brown. Then repeated painters tape for the brown stripes. The last coat was the tan. After the tan coat I removed the tape and got the final product.


Here is a pic when the riser was brown. Kinda cool. Almost wanted to leave it that color! Kinda unique!

Well here is the final product. 2012 RKT Matrix
Had some red strings laying around so I slapped those on. Might change that before next fall.

That turned out great. Some brown and tan strings with black serving on there would look good.
