Custom mini Canadian belt knife

Following these threads and looking to try a Grohmann style knife. This is a new one coming out from the Sthealthy Hunter and Mikejonesknifeandtool. If I’m reading these posts correctly, this version of a CBK is missing that angle to blade relationship? Any other comments on this knife? I see an S2H version is on the way soon also. Thanks in advance for any comments.
I don't like the having a guard as it limits the use of the blade (Slalomnorth describes it best).

I don't like the ricasso width but think it is there to add comfort in a pinch grip. I think a better way to handle this is ramping/shaping the handle.

Tough to tell in a picture without a scale, but I think the blade could be thicker/taller so it's not so pointy during gutting tasks.

The finger jimping looks really coarse and I'd worry about getting caught on stuff. I'm curious to get some opinions on that from some more knowledgeable guys/makers. I think some thumb jimping could be nice, but not sure the use case for the further along the spine section.

It does looks pretty...

I have a love/hate relationship with jimping. When done right it works really well, but too often it's done poorly. It is often way too coarse and it chews up your thumb pretty good.

Also, most knives don't need jimping. In my experience, very few knives actually need jimping.

Here is my updated Grohmann #3 style knife. What do y'all think?

This looks perfect and I want one
Where’s the picture? Love the partial tang design. Where did you find the .080 Magnacut?
I’ve been having trouble with postimages sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Maybe good now above. New Jersey steel baron, if you were to grind the mill scale off it would end up being thinner but with mill scale on it’s usually about .08”

Nice knife, but to me it looks more traditional. It doesn’t look to have the angle of the handle.
I don’t know if it does or not but it probably does. I think having a larger handle like we have can make it look like it doesn’t compared to the very small classic handle

I think I've got the blade handle angle in there. I don't think I'd want to go much more extreme than what I have. Here is a better photo. Maybe this helps a bit.

It looks really nice. If it were me, I would push the point up a smidge higher to get more radius on the belly. I think the secret sauce of the CBK Is the relationship between the handle angle, the point being slightly above center, and the radiused edge.
