Deer Rock Knives

Just out of curiosity what price ranges?

And also, not knowing anything ton, I see all of then are half tang. Why not full tang?

It depends on steel but roughly around $315 with kydex. Half tangs are lighter and better balanced. Modern day epoxies and synthetic handle material offer plenty of strength for a tool used to cut things efficiently. The blade would fail far before you had any problems with handle strength. They’re a little more work but worth it in my opinion

Really enjoy my deer rock knife. Can’t wait for my next one.

Just zipped through a couple crop damage deer, minimal touch up was super easy to get it back to very sharp.

The thought that goes into making a blade purpose built to cut hide and meat is apparent in this knife.

Not at all surprised that his list is years long, the quality of the product and design intent to a hunter is there.

@Slalomnorth What’s your favorite stainless/low corrosion steel right now?
Magnacut is very well balanced and hard to beat. There’s a new “stainless 10v” steel called magnamax that i plan to use as well when it’s available.

Been knocking my build list down a bit and plan to make a big push this fall for people’s hunting season. Been held up a little due to wildfires close to town.

I can’t say enough good about magnacut, especially in whatever hardness you have used in your blade.

No worries on the timing but it’s appreciated. Would be cool to cut up some elk with a new knife.

Any chance you can put secondary retention on the kydex? Either in the form of a piece of rubberized webbing and a button or a slider in the kydex? Almost made a hole in my pack last time I cut something up, there was just enough fat and gunk in the sheath that it didn’t lock up tight as normal.

I’ve had my eye on his knives for a while and finally decided to jump in line for a couple belt knives. Super excited to get my hands on one

My kydex has significantly improved since I made your knife. If you want I can remake the sheath for that one.

This post is overdue. I appreciate all you rokslide guys and this should make things less confusing for folks. Here’s how I operate:

I work from a build list with no deposits required. If someone drops out of a blade it becomes available and typically will sell very quickly. Feel free to message me if you're interested in something. Doing it like this has worked well for me so far.

These are my primary models, but by no means the only knives I make. I have a lot of different designs but this will at least give folks an idea. I also do custom work and make adjustments upon request (within reason). Steels I typically work with include Magnacut, 10v, Cruwear, 14c28n, and procut.
