Didn't see it mentioned but what is the rifle weight sans scope, and which NF scope is that?

Really like that build.

If I recall correctly it was 6 lb 10 oz. it’s the NXS 2.5-10. Pretty happy with the setup.

No, my buddy did the pillars and recoil lug for me

Thanks, that's a lot of money for a stock that still requires customer finish work, bedding and installation of lug/pillars. I have the stock already in rem 700 and like it. Interested the Tikka but will have to see.

I agree. Seems like everything was a trade off with weight, lead times, etc. This only took a month vs some of the other big stock makers seeing 3-6 month lead times.

I didn’t know it wasn’t totally drop in when I ordered it and if I were to do it over again I’d just send my barreled action to Axial and have them do it.

Do any of the guys waiting on HCA builds know if Mike is going to contact you upon completion & prior to shipping your rifle back?

I was in contact with Mike yesterday. His cnc for contouring barrels has been down for a couple weeks, got a new one and more problems with that machine. Sounds like no Tikka chambers have been cut in a while. I sent him 2 actions and barrel back in late April for chambering and cerakote. I was quoted 6 weeks when sent it. Been a lil longer than expected. These two builds were for a friend and I to go participate in the Horandy precision hunter steel challenge that's in 2-3 weeks. Spots were 200$ a piece. So that's NOT gonna happen. These things are frustrating, but sh!t happens and we have no control over that.

I juts ordered a wildcat composites for mine, they're 21oz and come drop in ready. We'll have to see how I like it....... I know it'll sell immediately if I don't.

I suggest the ti beast 3 port from MBM. Works great in my 8# all up 300wsm.

Thats what I ended up with on my HCA tikka 7 saum, very effective.

My havak 300 WM came with the seekins brake. It has straight 90 degree ports so it can’t reduce recoil like the CA slayer/side port, mbm, terminator, apa, 419, etc brakes. I swapped it out for a 419 hellfire brake and it made a big difference.

I've reduced my "inventory" down to four rifles. Going forward Travis at TS Customs can have all of my money. I love his KS1 stock (smaller grip and distance to trigger)! The Manners LRH on my 6CM doesn't fit my hands nearly as well. His customer service and workmanship is second to none.

Here are my 300 WSM specs:

Lone Peak Razor Ti short action
Benchmark 22" Sendero 9 twist
Hawkins hinged floorplate
KS1 stock
TriggerTech Special Pro Curve
