I just bought a stripped RIA 22tcm/9mm double stack MS (commander frame) with a rail on gunbroker. I am hoping to cut the frame for a clark/para ramped barrel, then throw all of the RIA MS (commander sized) 10mm parts on it. Hopefully I will be well under 1000, but it definitely will not be a top class custom 1911🤷‍♂️

Man you're going to spend a lot of money chasing a $600 G40! With the factory trigger and barrel, shooting 200 grain Underwood hardcasts, mine cuts one ragged hole at 30 yards (with a leupold dp pro). For less than that price, you could get the G40, a Trijicon SRO, new barrel, aftermarket trigger, co-witness sights, a nice holster and a ton of ammo. The Glock will be lighter, every bit as accurate, nearly as good of a trigger, and more trouble free. If you have a 1911 fetish, then go for it. Nothing wrong with personal preferences. But it won't be a better gun.
