So , I've been wearing the Tibets all day for the last three and the heel rub has gone away. My whole foot has settled forward and my right toe is hitting the front of the boot . WTF ! Now that the uppers are breaking in my foot has centered on the arch. If the toe was 3/16" longer it would be good ....but it's not. I just don't know what to do now. Going to wear the Sassalongs next few days and break them in and see if they are better.
Man....I feel your frustration. I've decided that if the new boots I will be getting don't work, I'm likely going to go with another pair of danners. They had always fit my foot right. I know they aren't the "high quality" boot that the Lowas etc. are, but they also aren't nearly as expensive and I could still get a replacement if there is some sort of defect.
Anyone try Leukotape on their heels as a prevenatative. I've known guys to use gorilla duct tape, but not this. He swears by it. I've got some Kinesiology tape. They look similar in photos. Not sure if they are the same or not. Here's a link to links to Leukotape: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&ke...vptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_5sblsgp7cz_b
Sorry, Hadn't Read All Of This Until Tonight. I See Others Mention The Leukotape As Well. As I've gotten Older My Skin Has Become Dryer And Maybe Thinner. I Think This Is Some Of Issue For Some Of Us.Anyone try Leukotape on their heels as a prevenatative. I've known guys to use gorilla duct tape, but not this. He swears by it. Not really , I went back to a pair of Hanwag Yukons I had that are slightly too big but don't tear my feet up. Because they are too big I slide around in them and the support isn't great but they don't hurt me. I did go to the REI store we have here and tried on everything they had. Nothing reall fit well. The asolo's fit the bests but there was still slip. I'm going to hunt what I have this year then start a search for a better fitting boot after my hunt. I don't want to wreck my feet with only a month to go.
