Lot of ways to make this stuff hard or easy. This rig shoots around 95-105 grains of ffg pyrodex powder very tightly with a .530 roundball. I like a range like that as I always spill a little when loading in the field. Its easy to clean and easy to hunt with. Shot the antelope doe at 95 yards on a spot and stalk hunt. Shot the whitetail buck at 22 yards after I figured out where he was coming into a corn field. Kind of planning on bear, elk and deer again next year. That load is very easy on the shoulder as well.

Thanks guys. Something about the plains in the fall. Had flock after flock of cranes migrating, pheasants cackling, coyotes howling, just a great time to be out.

That rifle is a kit from Pecatonica Arms. The wood upgrade was worth it. They are not easy and after I got about 20% in I decided to have a pro finish it for me. Lefthanded version is in work right now.

Love the maple stock! Looks like the round baller is deadly in your hands
