@Trial153 composite bed? What is that? Haven’t heard that before.
Yes it’s a composite material. You’d be hard pressed to even scratch it, can’t dent that’s for sure. Only issue I see is things will slide on it. Thinking of a black armor truck bed matt. One thing for sure is I am not spraying a liner on it, I can’t see how it would even stick to it.
This is where I am at. My 2015 double cab would average around 15.5 to 16. Straight freeway without a load, I got as much as 17.5 at its best. City/town or towing the boat, I was more around 13.Thats crazy. I never averaged any more than like 16 (hand calculated). With the turbo issues of the new ones, I wish they kept the 5.7 and went to a 10 speed. Mileage would improve and the engine is excellent.
Dig those pillars on the side to make a platform. Nice.
Does it have a drainage gap at the front?
Nope, I got 7 mpg in my Scout 800A.The worst gas mileage of any truck ever made. Biggest downfall.
One of the greatest overall trucks ever made...with one major downfall...The gas mileage. I had a 2008, then a 2017, both with the 5.7. When Chevy finally made it to where you could get the 6.2 without buying the most expensive option truck in 2020 I decided to switch back to Chevy
Running "close" to the highway speed limit I can average about 23-24. Real world roadtrip MPG is usually 20ish highway and in the city its around 16 with traffic.Curious what MPG you get on your 6.2?
Forgot to add- insurance paid out almost $9000 for his old, miled out Tundra.A surveyor acquaintance of mine just had his '08 Tundra 5.7 written off. T-boned. It had over 700k on it, with all its original major mechanical components.
My '16 has been a good truck, but is only at 100k. It averages 17-18 highway, with E-rated 33" TOYO AT3s and a cap on it. Usually loaded with camping/shooting/hunting gear, and lots of foothills and mountain driving. I can live with that, if it's as reliable as our other Toyota vehicles have been.
