I have a 2013 Tundra with Rock Warrior package. Has 165K miles on it and is going strong. No complaints.

@Trial153 composite bed? What is that? Haven’t heard that before.

Yes it’s a composite material. You’d be hard pressed to even scratch it, can’t dent that’s for sure. Only issue I see is things will slide on it. Thinking of a black armor truck bed matt. One thing for sure is I am not spraying a liner on it, I can’t see how it would even stick to it.

I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST WAITING ON ANY VEHICLE PURCHASE. In 60 days I think we’ll see a more attractive buyers market. If you have a GOOD trade then you can throw that advice out the window because as the market drops your trade value drops.

Interesting. I added a hard liner to my 2021, and yes stuff slides, but I use rugs and whatnot to prevent that. I also added 1" rings to the rail mount holes (in lieu of the toyota rail) and have plenty of tie-down spots to prevent shifting.

Thats crazy. I never averaged any more than like 16 (hand calculated). With the turbo issues of the new ones, I wish they kept the 5.7 and went to a 10 speed. Mileage would improve and the engine is excellent.
This is where I am at. My 2015 double cab would average around 15.5 to 16. Straight freeway without a load, I got as much as 17.5 at its best. City/town or towing the boat, I was more around 13.

My 2021 Crewmax is worse. If I keep it under 65, I have gotten 17 on the freeway. Up to 70, I get about 16.25. Combined, I get about 14.75. I haven’t towed with it enough to see what that will look like.

Yea a bed mat is all you need, you’d be crazy to spray a liner over this. It’s looks like you couldn’t damage it if you tried and no way in hell a spray on liner will adhere good to it. I just saved 650 plus tax on line X …calling and cancelling my appointment for this Wednesday

Dig those pillars on the side to make a platform. Nice.

Does it have a drainage gap at the front?

Yes there are 4 drain holes. The led bed lights are nice feature as well, they will come in handy when I put the hard cover on it. And I can forgo the extra light I was going to install under the Diamond back cover. I bet I use the 120v ac plug a time or two also …

I have a 2021 Tundra with an 8’ bed. Love it. Came from a fully loaded Ram Power Wagon, Chevy 2500 LT3 before that, and a host of others. I use mine about 75% off road/gravel and it has been amazing even compared to the Power Wagon.

The Tundra is ruggedly simple, 4x4 system is amazing, tons of power, and just flat works. Yes the MPG sucks, but so did the others.

2019 Tundra here. Zero issues. Expect poor fuel economy but I will take that for the reliability.

I’ll echo others. I have an 18 that I love. I did put a stage 2 eibach suspension, wheels and tires, etc. Mpg went from bad to worse. Lucky to get 12mpg now.

A surveyor acquaintance of mine just had his '08 Tundra 5.7 written off. T-boned. It had over 700k on it, with all its original major mechanical components.

My '16 has been a good truck, but is only at 100k. It averages 17-18 highway, with E-rated 33" TOYO AT3s and a cap on it. Usually loaded with camping/shooting/hunting gear, and lots of foothills and mountain driving. I can live with that, if it's as reliable as our other Toyota vehicles have been.

One of the greatest overall trucks ever made...with one major downfall...The gas mileage. I had a 2008, then a 2017, both with the 5.7. When Chevy finally made it to where you could get the 6.2 without buying the most expensive option truck in 2020 I decided to switch back to Chevy

Curious what MPG you get on your 6.2?

Running "close" to the highway speed limit I can average about 23-24. Real world roadtrip MPG is usually 20ish highway and in the city its around 16 with traffic.
*on a trip back from the mountains my "best" 400 mile average was 29, but that was mostly backroads with a 55 mile speed limit and going downhill most of the way

Forgot to add- insurance paid out almost $9000 for his old, miled out Tundra.
