Colorado OTC Elk hunting units 74,75,751 is 2nd or 3rd rifle season better?

I am in 74 & 741 , we get the migration in to our alfalfa fields later seasons, most of the unit is private property

I think it depends on how cold you want to be and what part of those units you want to be in. 75/751 can go from 6000 to 13000, not many roads and lots of walking. Glassing spots are few and far between.

Are the private lands locked up or are there option to lease or buy permission?

First time elk hunter going out for 2nd or 3rd rifle OTC. I found out last year that my cancer came back and Im trying to "squeeze" in an elk hunt this year. Something I always desired to do, but until now, never acted on it. Not sure what kind of shape Ill be in come end of October, but can someone give me a few GMUs that might be decent hunting with a not-so-tough terrain? Thanks for your advice fellas.
