Colorado legislators to propose NFA- Suppressor Ban

This is a stab at limiting anyone who has or prints lowers from buying an upper and getting it shipped to their home…
Correct me if I am wrong but I believe they already banned unserialized lowers in CO so they've already made this part illegal, there is no need to control the sale of barrels as opposed to enforcing the law they already passed if that is their concern. But as we all know it isn't their real motivation.

I mean. I'd think they'd be more focused on trying to redeem themselves for not being able to even reintroduced wolves in the state. Now they think gun control will work? Good thing there's no such thing as 3d titanium machines. If you know, you know.
Late reply, but on the 3D printer piece, Washington state is proposing (link to bill) to ban them (and CNC machines) unless they add AI software to recognize gun parts and refuse to print them. 🤡

I think you are correct there. Exactly! I mean I would be all for some harsher penalties for firearm thieves or for using a firearm in the commission of a crime or illegal possession… funny how we never see those laws getting brought up. Really I think the R minority should flood the field with stricter penalties for firearm related crimes and make the D’s state why they don’t want to actually enforce laws that could curb firearm related violence

You mean like HB25-1062 making the theft of ANY firearm regardless of value a felony, a bill that they hypocrite Senator Sullivan voted against?

Re: regulating an non-serialized part...look no further than Washington for an example.

Can't even buy a holster from some vendors.

I had to ship a new handguard for my bolt ULUL to my family to reship to me. It was 67% off at one retailer but they don't ship anything to WA...perfectly legal to import the part though. Still cheaper to ship twice.

Ah yes! And their reason something like it would negatively affect minority communities too much?! Ummm excuse me?! How about we don’t care and just let it affect criminals regardless of what they look like. They need to keep bringing stuff like that forward. I listened to some of the bill reading and I can only stomach hearing Sullivan for about 30 seconds before I rage throw my phone across the room

Because politicians have no spine and don’t want to actually fix the problems, just look like they are doing something to appease the base. Just like the national R’s backed off on having a usable background check system anyone can use. They should have made it painful for the D’s to hold the position on using 4473’s to create a registry.

Yea I think a lot of retailers and manufacturers just think it’s not worth the risk. I don’t think BCM will ship *anything* here, including very legal things like grips, rail segments, stickers, etc. If I remember correctly, Washington is not even available as a state to select in the address drop down when checking out.

A state doesn’t need to outright ban something to achieve the purpose of severely restricting it. Just making it risky/uncertain for a company can be enough.

The process is the punishment. This is a stab at limiting anyone who has or prints lowers from buying an upper and getting it shipped to their home… but heck now a new tube for my tikka would have to go through an FFL it is wild it’s a metal tube with some threading.

They have seriously lost the plot. We need to show up big in November and let them know. That blathering “um” idiot Sullivan needs to go!
Oh yeah. Next stop confiscation. Sullivan is a total POS. Stood on the senate floor and lied about his military service and then disparaged Army Green Berets. He is protected by Everytown-Bloomberg’s millions.

If you keep electing them, they will eventually win and get everything they want.
My dude I can just about guarantee everyone here hasn’t voted for any of the politicians making these insane laws, fun fact 1/3 of state legislators here in Co weren’t elected at all and just appointed via vacancy appointments… it’s an epic problem

Sullivan is a certified retard, this guy alone has resulting in me buying large amounts of firearms in bulk. Hes just funding the gun lobby through people like me. Its time fo succession at this point. Denver doesnt belong in colorado anymore. I say we close all ski resorts. If we close the ski resorts the Yankees will go home. Everyone blames california but california is full of Yankees. The Yankees ruined cali first they procreate there and now their offspring cant afford anything and have been invading the state. Unfortunately the Yankees have been invading the west for decades. We need to kick out new york and deport the communists back to communist new york city. We'll move wall street to florida...

I encourage any Colorado residents to start donating and getting more involved in politics. Unfortunately the state is getting "gentrified". I am currently donating $250 per month to various groups to include RMGO and Save the Hunt. I recently heard there is a push to ban hunting with lead projectiles so either put your money down or start looking for work in other states... in all seriousness please dont give up and leave. I believe many westerners have left this state to boycott what is going on but we need your numbers and votes to save this once free state.

Colorado State Shooting Association along with the Mountain State Legal Foundation would be a better place to send your money than RMGO honestly. They have been the ones behind pretty much any litigation over the last ten years that has been positive for 2A. They are behind the recent 10th Circuit Court decision that declared that New Mexicos waiting period was unconstitutional.

I also donate to MSLF, FPC and NAGR. Doing some research I spready my money across all those groups. NAGR and RMGO are affiliated. I would urge everyone to do their research. def90, you make a strong point, money is better spent on lawsuits in colorado since lobbying is not as effective. I am spreading it out because RMGO does participate in lawsuits and holds pro gun legislature accountable and they play a role in swing races.

RMGO/NAGR/Dudley just leaves such a bitter taste in anyone's mouth that has dealt with them over the years. He primaried a Colorado State Senate (or maybe house member) Republican back in the day because he wasn't "pro gun enough" for Dudley which ended up in that seat being flipped to a Democrat. That was one of the first flips 15 or so years ago that eventually lead to a Dem led Senate and house in Colorado. He eventually stepped down as the public head of RMGO afterwards because he became too toxic in local politics for anyone to deal with.
