I'm not seeing the stats on the new NR draw stats for the old OTC units for Archery. You?

It should have a "V1" but I cannot find it via a search.

Yeap, the same. Maybe updated the "V1" Not really a concern, I drew a good tag, all good.

I have to wonder if some of the high-point burns like that aren't kids whose dad bought them points for years and years and they blow them either unknowingly or not caring so they can go hunt with a buddy.

I'm sure there are plenty of inexplicable and understandable explanations that lead to it each year.

I'm burning 9 points on a cow tag.

I've just been too busy drawing / OTC across a half dozen other states to make it work. This year it makes sense so it'll be what it'll be.

Wife used 9 points one year to draw a deer tag in a 2 point type unit. Shot a 182" gross whitetail lol. Sometimes people with low interest just draw points until the perfect year for them to hunt comes along.

Looks like I could've drawn my tag 100% with 8 points, I had 10 so I can live with that. Someone put in with 16

3/4 on my tags. Makes me wonder if I applied to bad units or got lucky this year

I do not think that we do. That would get used pretty hard I imagine. I get my wife points every year, she wants to hunt in a few years as an example for our daughters, but really isn’t interested in getting a tag every year.

My wife is a fair weather hunter. She is the one that everyone scratches their heads at dropping 5-7 points on 1-3 point units. Just buy points until she says she wants a tag this year.

Got my deer tag as expected, didn't get elk tag as expected. Got the points I applied for as expected.

So i guess I did well.
