The fires last year really made folks decide to turn in the high point tags.
Not so much this year with moisture and antler growth. People want their tags this year!

Also, I went to the CPW office today. Turned in a tag. The officer there called Denver and got it removed from my account immediately. I am good to go for leftover day! I’m sure the system will crash and I won’t get a damn thing.

Who ends up with tags if the system always crashes?

What do you guys do when and if it does crash? Call in your order? Or just wait for it to come back up?

If you look through the draw stats, I don't know of many 3-4 point tags. Seems like most of them are 5+ or 0-2 for residents.
There are 58 3-4 point tags for deer, and 36 for elk according to the draw stats this year. Could also be my perception of the list, as 2nd season and muzzy won't fit my schedule so I'm looking past those. Also, some of the 0-1 point units I would like to hunt again aren't really showing up this year like usual.

Do you know if those 58 deer tags will be sold and gone within the first 5 mins?

There are 58 tags that took 3-4 points to draw, not 58 tags on the leftover list. Yes, the few 3-4 point tags that are on the leftover list will be gone within 2 minutes of the sale starting.

I should have been more clear. I knew those were the 3-4 points one. I was just wondering how fast realistically the higher point tags go.

As in maybe I should lower my standards and try for less desired tags come Tuesday

I think you and all others reading this thread should give up hope and not even try for tags on Tuesday. :ROFLMAO:

Asking as a newbie here, is it easier to call or try the online route?

As long as the system doesn't crash again, then online. It seems impossible to get through on the phone and unless you happen to get a person on the phone right at 9, then the tags will be gone by 9:02.

I guess you missed the unit 10 muzzleloader bull tag last year, and the handful of 76 and 61 first rifle tags. Not to mention all the 5+ point antelope tags and the bighorn ram tag last year

They actually didn't change it until after the second year. Those first two years were good to me I got two first season 61 bull tags.
