Unrelated to the original posting but word on the street is Dems will look to ban suppressors in CO in 2026. It’s all part of a bigger plan for hunting and firearms in this state.

Ban future sale? full on outlaw seems tough since lots of them have been legally owned and possessed for a while now, sort of like “high capacity” mag ban…?Unrelated to the original posting but word on the street is Dems will look to ban suppressors in CO in 2026. Yeah I’d assume it’ll play out like the AWB. Grandfather existing ones but no new ones. But nobody knows until it’s officially introduced in 2026.Ban future sale? full on outlaw seems tough since lots of them have been legally owned and possessed for a while now, sort of like “high capacity” mag ban…?
Well shit… it’s all just so tiresome…Yeah I’d assume it’ll play out like the AWB. Grandfather existing ones but no new ones. But nobody knows until it’s officially introduced in 2026.
Yep…. And this gathering is about more than just wolves.Plus you have the "First Gentleman" hosting events like this at the governor's mansion. Took me a while to read the article because my eyes were rolling so much....

Compassion, coexistence with wolves stressed in animal-rights talk hosted by Colorado's first gentleman
Marlon Reis said he created the event out of frustration over stories in the media that "perpetuate negative stereotypes that are dangerous and destructive”coloradosun.com
Survey's such as this one still show support for wolf reintroduction by over half of Colorado residents. I didn't look into the methodology of survey but assume it was conducted in Denver metro/front range.

At least half of Colorado voters support wolf reintroduction 2 years after the animals were first released
About 53% of registered voters who participated in a poll conducted over the summer said they support wolf reintroduction, while 37% said they oppose it and 10% said they were unsure or had no opinion on the programcoloradosun.com
Amen! Looked her up, she is a wet behind the ears assistant prof.Yep…. And this gathering is about more than just wolves.
Of course Dr. Rebecca Niemiec was going to be there headlining the event. Niemiec is a critical cog in the anti-hunting political machine here in Colorado. She runs the anti-hunting policy center at Colorado State University. Under the banner of “academic research”, Niemiec and her center provide survey data, polling research, strategy recommendations, and campaign material to anti-hunting political campaigns, most recently working in support of Proposition 127: Mountain Lion hunting ban and the CATS group. Did you ever see the statistic in CATS campaign material stating that “78% of Coloradans oppose trophy hunting of mountain lions”? Pretty strange considering Prop 127 was defeated on a 55-45 split. Ever wonder where that type of widely inaccurate partisan material comes from, you guessed it Dr. Niemiec and her crew at CSU. They intentionally generate material meant to diminish the efficacy and minimize popular support for hunting in Colorado. Their material directly supports anti-hunting political campaigns in Colorado. She also headlines CATS events in her official role at CSU.
I guess I was mistaken when I thought public research universities were non-partisan and didn’t directly support political campaigns in their official capacity….
If you are a Colorado State alum, you should be calling out the weaponization of your alma mater against sportsmen and women.
