Lead free ammo for centerfire cartridges is pretty available and ballistically sufficient.

Lead free for shotgun rounds really sucks unless you're turkey hunting. Makes an upland shoot far more expensive.

Lead free rimfire options are essentially non-existent.

I will shot steel all day before I want copper in my rifle bullets. I don’t even buy lead any more the steel shot works just as good

The Hornady 17HMR I've used shot well but I haven't found any 22 that was worth a damn.
