I'm back and forth on chopping/threading my 223. We can't hunt big game with 223, in terms of hunting the only use would be going after a coyote or such with a can on it. That is about the only reason that comes to mind to chop and thread to accommodate a suppressor. Otherwise in terms of practice myself and the kids will have earpro on and having the full recoil of a 223 (minimal) is going to still be less than a suppressed medium cartridge so seems logical in my current thought process to not reduce the recoil on the 223 to retain what it has to reinforce fundamentals as best as it can in terms of having a little recoil. Also don't have to deal with letting a can cool off.
Am I overlooking anything here?
If I was gonna hunt big game with it, which I'm not, it wouldn't be a question.
