What is the best way to open up the ejection port on this stocky vg? Also need to relieve around the bolt release.

Thinking of using a router or routing bit on a dremel. Obviously with proper PPE and respirator.

Thanks guys. Debating on whether I start modifying this one for final use or send it back due to some general QC issues.

I knew modification would be necessary so not worried about that. But the inletting job sucks. Also some general porosity and overall QC I’m not pleased with for not being marked as a blem.

Dang - it doesn't hurt to ask. Worst they can say is "no". If they aren't willing to fix the stock, then go ahead with the mods.

Yeah I will probably reach out to them and see what they say. I don’t think the tang inletting can be fixed without looking goofy.

It’ll also probably need to be bedded because there’s quite a bit of slack in the inletting. Might be less if I move forward with modifying and make the relief cuts for the trigger hanger.
