This move by Trudeau was purely autocratic. The Canadian people don't have a 2nd amendment to protect them from these types of power plays.

That wouldn't happen here in the states, but they could restrict/regulate firearms and ammo to death, only effecting law abiding citizens. Case in point CA,NY, or WA.

During obamas first occupation he was ask if there was anything that surprised him or was caught off guard during his residency. He said yes, as it turns out the constitution made it much harder to bring about the changes he wanted. He didn’t say it made it impossible, just that it made it harder. Then with the help from the Supreme Court they stripped the first part of our first amendment away from us, transferring protections intended for religious believes and inventing a new protected class of people that have since morphed into the lbgqtx whatever.
Years later with help from big tech and out of control federal agencies, freedom of speech, freedom of press and the freedom of assembly, petition and redress grievances were killed.

They are playing the long game, they are organized and funded and will not stop until they get what they want. Our biggest crime as citizens was thinking we should compromise with these people, they don’t play like that it’s all or nothing with them.

If Biden and his buddy Obama had their ways and there wasn't a thing called the US Constitution in their way, the US would be a worse place than Canada for sure in regards to gun control/bans/rights-or Canadian privileges stripped away.

Just hearing Biden blabber about how a 9mm is a terrible weapon that blows the lungs out is enough to make me vomit. He is nothing more than a useful idiot for a group working to turn the US into a third rate country. The first step of that is disarming us. Once they do that, they can roll whatever they want over us and we have no way to fight. They know this, so it ruins their game.

This next election cycle will be telling as to how far they want to play this game.

I'm afraid ANY repeating rifle (lever, bolt, semi) will end up meeting the soon to be created ATF definition of "assault weapon" under the guise of "designed to kill the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time” argument.

The gun control lobby's ultimate goal is to remove a person's legal ability to use a firearm as self-defense much like Europe, UK, CA, AUS, NZ have done.
