I’m sorry man, I’m more than half joking about the U.S. taking a portion of Canada, but it’s a beautiful place but it seems to be getting ran into the ground by politicians, much like my home state of Colorado…

I got the M 4 from my Brother when he moved back to the US.
It was one of several that although a US product, could not be repatriated due to some government gobblygook.
The AR's - one is a maybe, the other is not.

This was largely done by an Order In Council (OIC) wherein the government does not introduce the matter to Parliament, but simply signs said order, passes it off to the patsy Governor General, and walla- "law".

Can you not take them apart and just give them the lower? Or does Canada label the actual gun part differently?

I know in Cali with the laws down there the only thing that had to be registered was a the “lower”

The sad part is the fools who repeatedly elect the LIEberal "government" responsible for this mess!

Without constitutional protection every time the govt makes a law you don't like, revolution is about the only means to over turn it and that doesn't happen to often. Certainly not when said law effects such a small percentage of the population.

Unfortunately it isn’t unlimited. They have put aside $742 million for the entire gun expropriation including administrative costs. They say in the fine print you may not be compensated.
People like me who had something registered(ARs mostly) will get a letter with your list. Everyone is expected to tell them what banned guns you have that they don’t know about, and then you will find out later if you get compensation.
Once the $742 million is used up, there is no more money to give up.
There was about 120,000 guns registered that they know about and apparently they have only allocated enough for an extra 26,000 guns that they don’t know people have. Conservative estimates are that there are at least 500,000 banned guns out there, likely closer to a million that they don’t know about.

I think many of us would love to have our freedom loving patriots to the north as countrymen! Plus there is a ton of beauty in Canada and a contiguous road to AK would be awesome

We don’t need to borrow them. We already have them here.
The pendulum is swinging though. there is a budget to vote on soon and the current government might not get enough votes in parliament to pass it, which would trigger an election.
The current liberal government got in with a minority earlier this year by copying many of the conservatives promises while campaigning. Now that they are in, people are seeing through the lies.

for AR's you gotta send in the upper and lower. I live in Alberta and our provincial govt wont let anyone come take our guns away so the only option is to either become a criminal or pay to deactivate the firearm.
