I’m not trying to get your panties bunched up. I literally thought he encouraged republicans to vote it down. I guess I’ve got some reading to do.

I get you had a tough week. But perhaps you should educate yourself as to why it didn't pass (Hint, it wasn't going to secure the border).

Considering its the government, I wouldn't be surprised if the dollars in don't even cover the costs to run the department.

Bingo
Firearms don’t even sniff the revenue that BATFE receives from alcohol or tobacco

I doubt things in CA will change anytime soon but the amount of red that appeared during the election this year was impressive. Hopefully you guys can keep moving in that direction.

That 2024 map sure looks like it’s time to split Californias electoral college votes up by district.

The hill we need to climb is only getting taller. Republicans are moving out of state and democrats keep throwing out feel good freebies to appease their base.

Please enlighten us on what that "border bill" would have done?
Sure -

We have an asylum problem in the US, not an illegal crossing problem.
Immigrants can come in and claim asylum. Since our system is so backed up with these claims... PER our current LAW - we have to let them in the country first, and give them a slip to return for their court date to hear their asylum claim to see if it's legitimate or not. Many, once they are in the country, never return for their court date, and stay illegally. Even if most do return for their court dates, waiting times can be backed up for a year or more. Meanwhile more people keep coming in.

We can't get around this process - it's literally the law... but what the bill would have done is.

1. provide substantial funding to hirer more judges, and more border patrol agents to process these claims faster. So they could INSTANTLY process their asylum claim as legitimate or not, and either legally let them in, or deny them and send them back.

2. passed a new law to allow us to completely/instantly shut down the border if immigrant entries reach 5,000/day. A power that we currently do not have. The border would be completely shut down - no matter who was trying to get in.

What does this have to do with suppressors? The topic of the thread.
