Buying ammo and having it shipped?

Hey guys, found some ammo I want from a place called vitalammoshop.com

Anyone ever used them? I can't find any reviews.

I have a seller who will ship me what I need from IL. It's private. Has to be friends and family as PayPal doesn't allow ammo or firearms. What have you all done to protect yourself? What can I do?

Could I tell my credit card company it was an unauthorized purchase, if it's a scam?

The private seller? It depends on how you entered the conversation. If it was a want to buy, 99% its scam. If it was listed, depending on the site, do some research on the individual, then make a decision.

The internet is an awful place, worst of everything, but in the hunting community it seems to be a lot of decent people. Just do some homework.

It was listed for sale on another forum. A buddy sent me the ad. I reached out via FB messenger. He does answer right away. He knows guns and ammunition answers to the questions I ask. Nothing been updated on his fb since 2019. No IG. He seems legit, it just seems weird.

Them outfits that sell by the large lots and don't offer single box sales do that so they get a worthwhile chunk of your money when the scam you.
