BOAL'D Case Files, The Conclusion

Ohh, or a RS drinking game.

Every time someone says "Not looking for any honey holes", take a drink.
My wife plays a rokslide drinking game. Everytime she asks if I'm on rokslide and I say yes, she takes a drink. I'm worried about her liver.

To address your idea of the merged threads, it can be done. I think it makes more sense to keep them separate. Maybe we could just a link at the end of each thread for the next thread.

45 day wait after criminal case was closed before any decision from IDFG, legal process is slow.

Yes sir I saw it took IDFAG until 11/8/22 to return the BOAL to you. I will retract previous post if you like? Why was the picuture taken with the antlers in what seems the summer? It makes the timeline muddy.

I don't want a consolidated thread. I like it all jumbled, confusing, and messy. Just like this ridiculous story-and it's knock offs.

Just think, you'll be able to tell your kids "i was there when rokslide blew up with memes and threads about an Insta hunter stealing a boal to gain credibility by taking advantage of poor decision making hunters who then created a bunch of drama and ghosted us with no details for months on end, creating a spiralling vortex of speculation, memes, videos, and a large increase to Robby and Ryan's bank account..."

Ah yes, the good old days....
Three of my favorite things, jumbled, confusing, and messy. We have it.

My guess is a conjecal visit of sorts. When they were siezed and he had to identify them.
If I remember rite the officers hand remained on them the entire time. Some pics were angled to try crop him out?

Maybe make a redirect to the manscaping thread, that’ll really get people’s heads spinning 🤣

So........it says that your arrow was determined lethal by the investigating officer. Even a gut shot is eventually lethal. He also says that a "second arrow" was shot into the animal "after" it died?????? How was that determined? Did he leave his arrow? And how could they tell if it was "after" the buck died?

Perhaps this is why the only charge was basically "wanton waste". Why on earth wouldn't the defendant completely break the deer down and haul it all out.......especially after seeing the OP's arrow in the deer? At that point he didn't have a leg to stand on. F&G would seize the buck either way. Still lots of questions and answers out there.

I have been told, wound marks can be determined if pre or post from the way the blood vessels react. Like, where they have blood in them, and it's under pressure, versus post mortem.

Or something along those lines.

Not my area of expertise.

I know that "can" be determined, but in the field after the animal has been caped and some meat removed? Do F&G officers get that technical in the field?

Man, a lot of time, money, and effort for just a buck.......even a BOAL. I doubt I would go to that effort for even a "bull" of a lifetime (hiring lawyers, civil suits, etc).

I vote a big fat NO on merging threads; to be fully appreciated, one must immerse themselves completely in each thread and allow all the information and memes to “bloom” in your synapses like a fine wine. Part of the attraction to this and the other train wrecks that were “started” by the original BOAL/WKR thread like a good loaf of Sourdough!

I would happily go that far but more to hold the bastard accountable than to get a set of antlers.

Good insight ^^ If there is a heartbeat and blood pressure, there will be trauma, bruising and bloodshot. If a wound is post Mortem, the entrance will look “too clean.” The hole will look like it was made with a hole punch. There will be no discoloration around the hole, no bruising, no dark bloodshot, etc. The coloration directly around the hole will look the exact same as the tissue that is further away from the hole.

This was pointed out to me by 2 current/former conservation officers. Cool fact, IDFG has a small department of volunteers (retired fish cops) dedicated to wound analysis. Mainly for determining causes of death on collared calves, fawns, etc. For example, if a cat killed a fawn and then say a bear claimed the kill after the cat killed it, or vice versa. So that they can determine what predator is responsible for the most mortality on a species in a certain area.

I’m glad this came up. This is something that the more people know about, the better. And hopefully awareness will affect peoples’ decision making in the field.

All I know is imma start some serious pack training, that way when I come across a dead boal I can strap it on full body, hide hair, guts and get outta there. The original boal shooter will think aliens obducted it.

Then I can place it in a location of my choice. All propped up in a bed and shoot a sweet influencer video where I sneak into a sleeping boal and arrow him. But ill drop the camera on the shot so there's no footage of him running off mortality wounded. It will just cut to me and a magazine cover grip and grin.

Brandyn was passing through town and offered me chance to see/identify antlers even though we still had legal going.

To be 100% clear, deer was in IDFG possession until I picked up. Brandyn was very clear to me seeing them/taking pictures meant nothing until all legal complete.

Apologize on timeline confusion, but I wanted to use pictures with him vs. when I picked up officially. He was in field when I went to pick up.
