Considering the Nomad Ti and the Hyperion K or Ultra 7. Anyone have experience or preferences here? Other ones that should be on this list?
Pewscience ranks the Nomad Ti as the best sound supression between these (shooting .308) but with a louder first round pop whereas the Hyperion k has less noticeable first round pop. The TBAC Ultra 7 appears to be well regarded on this forum but is not ranked/reviewed on the pewscience rankings. Im hoping to find the best reduction in sound/recoil/muzzle rise for 300 win. Going to cut to 22in to avoid much MV loss as im shooting LRX ammo. Thanks!

I guess I don't know what the best is but I really like the TBeast dominus on my carbon 300 PRC shooting 215 Bergers. Very smooth overall experience and nice compact and light can.

I have the nomad ti on a bolt action 308, and it’s fantastic. Hearing safe and less felt recoil than my other 308. All that for just a few ounces. I have no experience with the others, but it’s a great can.

I’ve got an order in for a Banish Backcountry, 9oz w/direct thread adaptor. The different cartridges they publish sound ratings for sure makes it seem like it’ll be capable but we’ll see.

Thought real hard on that nomad ti, looks like an awesome can, heard good TV I ha about dead air performance. The new GW 6ix+ looks really similar in size.

The pew science stuff is really nice for comparing them.

Hearing safe? That doesn’t sound right.

I haven’t measured it, so I guess it could be in the danger zone. But my ears don’t ring even a little after shooting it a couple times without hearing protection. I never shoot a lot without protection even with the suppressor. But it’s great in a hunting situation for a shot or two.

Having used the CGS and TBAC heavily, and used the Nomad Ti: the CGS is what I and everyone I’m around prefers. The first round is quiet, the tone is better, it’s light, it’s shorter, it’s very durable and has low back pressure if you ever want to put it on a semi auto.

below 140 dB at the ear is considered "hearing safe" - that particular suppressor tested around 130ish if I remember right (Silencer Shop has a you tube review w/sound measurements). Pew Science (https://pewscience.com/sound-signature-reviews-free/sss-6-44-dead-air-nomad-ti-savage-308) rates it pretty highly.
Pretty sure safe exposure to 130db is somewhat less than 1 second. So I guess, for big game hunting where you fire a shot or two a day, 130db could be considered "hearing safe".
Maybe that is the scenario you had in mind.

Have you compared the GCS to the Dominus? Thoughts?
