Best raffle you ever won

I went to a ducks unlimited dinner last year. Me and the wife just went to have a good time. Threw some money into the “20 gun giveaway”. I thought maybe we might win something cheap. She won a tactical 12ga and I won a Beretta a400 28 ga with ducks unlimited engraving. I looked it up after the event and they were selling for about $3500 on gun broker. I was shocked! Sweet gun, it may go above the mantle one day.

I’ll start with saying I’ve been fairly lucky over the years. First big one was the Washington California bighorn sheep raffle back in 97. (3 tickets) Second big one was the Oregon bighorn sheep raffle in 98. (6 tickets). Those two set the stage for me buying tickets for every Sheep raffle I could find for the next 25 years. I hit another good one with a Dall sheep hunt in Alaska through the Washington FNAWS raffle. My wife bought me $200 worth for my birthday. Got lucky again in the Washington Shiris Moose raffle 10 years ago. Ended up killing a great 182 inch bull. Last but not least, I won the Montana WSF desert Sheep raffle with one ticket last year. Had a great hunt in Mexico killing a 166 Mexicana ram.

Oh to have a fraction of this luck.. I need to start buying raffle tickets! Congratulations to you!

I've only won a cooler and a framed art print at raffles. My son recently won a counterfeit Benchmade knife at a gun show door raffle. My grandmother used to go with my grandfather to conventions and won multiple times including vacations, firearms, fishing gear and camping gear. My dad won a scope once, but I don't recall anything more significant than that. Seems like the luck at raffles is reducing each generation in my family.

I won a Ruger 270 bolt action years ago, It was before the american series i think, Stainless/Sythetic stock, I traded it for a Remington 7600 30-06 which has been my go to since then. Many memories and deer taking with that gun.

Had a string of Raffle/Lottery luck a while back.

In 2014, as a new Veterinarian, my boss told me about a lottery trip/continuing ed event hosted by Zoetis (Pfizer's animal branch). Five days paid lodging and CE event in Las Vegas, just had to have money for food/plane ticket. Told me I probably wouldnt get it. Three weeks before my wedding and I'd already been on my bachelor party. My now wife was pissed that I even applied. Told her I wouldn't get it. Well, I was selected and spent 5 days in one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever been in at that Mandarin Oriental. Only problem was, we had to be downstairs at 7 am to go to the wet labs (read dead dog cadavers soaked in formaldehyde) for surgery CE. That was a rough 5 days of getting back to my room around 3 am each night after black jack tables. Broke even on the gambling. I have no desire to go back to Vegas after that trip unless it's on someone else's dime.

2018 I won a Browning X-bolt in .308 at a Ducks Unlimited Sponsor's Banquet. The next year I won a SBE3.
Haven't been that lucky since.

In 2018 I won the Coors light Rose Bowl giveaway. Two night stay, tickets to the game and Parade, and a meet and greet with Kirk Herbstreit

In the same DU raffle event I went to locally, I won three grand prizes back to back to back. This consisted of a yeti cooler with pizza for a year from local bar, Fishing kayak setup with a couple poles, and a S&W 15-22. I couldn't believe it.

Many years ago at a Ducks Unlimited Dinner, I won a Browning o/u shotgun.

Best was about 40 years ago when I at the annual Long Beach (Calif) Tackle Show. I bought a raffle ticket and won the Grand Prize, a long 10 day Long Range fishing trip on the Qualifier 105. We left San Diego and fished for big Tuna and Wahoo of the tip of Baja.

I won a CO statewide moose tag a few years ago,my daughter and I won 3 rifles at a QDMA banquet,I just won a outdoors YETI package from a pipeline safety class.
