Best beer you've ever had?

As I sit here with some Abyss in my car, taking it to Billings, and for some relief from the tension, what's the best beer you've ever had?
I would say Abyss. Or I have seem 6 year old Double black butte we had for thanksgiving last year. I still have more of that so I'm looking a 7 year old stuff now. I do like a little undercover investigation shut down ale. Locally I like the west coast by MAP or the Lee Metcalf by Bridger.

Please if you want to talk about any other alcohol start your own thread. Kidding fellas. LOL.

Hmmm. Tough call. There have been so many good ones. I really liked the last one so I am going to say that. I do Have high hopes for the next one though.

Not being much of a beer aficionado I've gone full circle and I'm back to Moose Drool now....

I drank a pile of it back in the early 2000's before it was trendy and left it when the micro brew scene skyrocketed..... now I'm back to drinking moose drool.

I've had a couple doppelbock's recently that I'm trying to decide if they're that good or if I'm just over excited about them

Big fan of Deschutes, especially Red Chair. Love Draught Work Quill Pig out of Missoula as well. Have also made quite a few tasty ones myself. Willy's moonshine barrel doppelbock was pretty damn good.

Man, I love a good beer. I have tried so many I can't even think of naming a favorite. My favorite type is an unfiltered wheat. I think Uinta is becoming my favorite brewer, I have liked all of there beers I have tried. Their Contrail is really good, but seasonal

I miss being able to go down to some local bars and sample beers.

my favorite beer currently is Red Lodge Ale Czech Mate- a really nice pilsner

the best beer I ever had was at the end of a ten day hitch building trail in the Bob Marshall wilderness, where the packer left a six pack of unknown beer (well before the advent of microbrews) in a cold spring for us at the end of a long, hot day- words can't come close to describing how good those tasted!

Iron Horse Quilters Irish Death is pretty good stuff, also like Alaskan Amber and Caribou Kilt.

I've pretty much switched over to dark beers the last few years, but I'll drink almost anything. And by that I mean that I still enjoy a few silver bullets now and again. Most recent best beer was Josiah's Revenge bourbon stout at the Daft Badger up in Coeur d'Alene. I stay away from the new hoppy junk though. That used to be made fun of and described as bitter beer face. Now it's cool. Go figure.

It was an ice cold Fosters on the flightdeck of the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN, right after leaving an almost 4month straight line period during the lead up and first month of the last Gulf War, the Cuban Cigar I smoked with it was pretty good too! I wouldn't drink that crap now If you paid me!

+1 for Pliny the Elder. Just can't find it enough. Freshest tasting beer I've ever had. Lagunitas Born Yesterday is the next closest I've found to it.

Really like Surly Overrated.

Go to breweries would be surly, sierra nevada, and deschutes for the more common stuff.

Fargo brewing comoany here does good stuff.
Also junkyard brewing company. They do a RIS that is amazing. Coalminers Daughter.
