Looking for some recommendations on a good elk/deer base camp tent/tipi that can be setup by one person but is good for up to 3 people plus gear and a heating source (buddy heater or stove). Standard wall tent is out because setup by one person can be tricky. Ideally would like it be able to stand up in the tent

I just got a Flex-Bow 10x10 yesterday and my wife pretty much set it up by herself in no time. It would be too small for 3 and gear but the 10x14 may work.

What size of wall tent have you setup by yourself?
I set up and take down my 14x16 wall tent solo, most of the time. Davis Tent has a video of a 10 year old girl setting up one of their tents solo. It's smaller than a 14x16, but the process is the same. It's pretty easy with their traditional pole setup. I haven't tried the full internal frame method solo yet. I can see that being more difficult solo.

10x12, steel frame. Probably 60# of canvas and 120# of frame/brackets.
I set it up solo often, its a lot of work. Premium camp tho.

seek 8 man. Fine for two, pretty small area in the center for standing. Low cots fit best. Not as nice as the wall tent, but very easy to pitch and lightweight.

Thanks for the recommendations. A bit of info I forgot: Would also like to use it during summer camping as well (mosquitoes are present during the summer)

dont let the tipi scare you off for summer. i am in serious mosquito country and they can be controlled. i have taken the 12 man to the boundary waters twice and Alaska twice and not had a mosquito problem.

a sewn in floor wont save you from the skeeters, they come in through the door.

yes there were bugs but a bug coil burning for a while knocks em down fast and then you can put it out to sleep. generally they collect in the top and dont bother you much. also they dont come in under the edge as you would expect.

in arkansas the problem is chiggers and i always put a large tarp down in the fall in the tipi for a floor. sometimes i carry bug spray for the edges of the tarp, too.

spring bar or kodiak flexbow, perfect for near car, can easily sleep 4 with bunk style cots, easy setup, big buddy is perfect for heating up to get ready in am or bed time...I also like a floorless wall tent after all the bugs and most of the mice have gone to rest...

Seek Outside Courthouse, and I ran the sales for one of the wall tent companies mentioned above for about ten years. That Courthouse takes the cake for 1-3 people how we use a truck tent.

Can’t recommd the Kodiak (flexbow) enough! But do yourself a favor and get the 10x14! Can’t imagine trying to get three cots inside a 10x10. Also, I’ve read of numerous experiences where guys wished they’d spent just a little more for the larger size.
I’ve had mine perform great in all sorts of weather. Heat, pouring rain, snow, and high wind (that year, I had an exit plan in case tent collapsed on me from wind, but it held fast! I was amazed)
These interior shots are with a cot on either side, 6’ table in between and room for two chairs. My little buddy heats it up fast and hot in September. Takes the edge off in late November.
