Has anyone used a OneTigris tent before? Do they live up to the made in China stereotype?

I have a nice Argali for packing in solo but I have 3 kids on my case now to take them camping and I want to get a 4-6 person tent without breaking the bank. Seen some stuff at Bass Pro for 6 person tents around $80 but with miserable reviews. The OneTigris seem to get decent reviews for tents you can get on Amazon but im not sure how much I trust it. Love the option to throw a stove in some of the models too... If I can take the kids with me I can do anything... haha

I know they are heavy which is fine for the truck camping we would do. But are they decent? Anyone use one? Thanks!

I got the Smokey Hut. Haven’t actually used it but for the price I don’t think you can go wrong. It’s like 1/5 or less the cost. I think unpaid $120ish off Amazon. I like the wind skirt and the half floor liner and the two sided zip. It’s light enough around 4 lbs IIRC I’ll pack it in a few miles with a titanium Winnerwell I got off the classifieds here.

How does the quality seem? will it last a few seasons? does is seem like it would hold up in rain?

thanks for adding a pic

Quality seems fine, fabric is kinda thicker like my Kelty Salida. I would prly seem seal and or spray seal if I was going to use it in a rainy climate.

I purchased one of their 2 person tipis a couple years ago on e screaming amazon day deal (sub $50 IIRC?). I’ve spent some nights in it, including some rainy nights, and would 100% buy it again. An old hunting partner had a seek outside, and I couldn’t tell any discernible difference between the fabrics or build quality, with the exception of the stakes and the amount left in each of our wallets.

I would take one on any trip based on my experience, without question.

thats awesome feedback. Thank you! I am looking at the Raven Nest style vice the tipi stye tent but im assuming the build quality is going to be similar. They are heavier it seems like but to get the kids out truck camping I dont need a fancy ultra light tent. Just need it to keep everyone dry and the zippers not break on the first pull.
