Ball of Foot Soreness with Boots. Daily wear Zero Drop/Wide Toe Box

Ive been having similar issues. Many if these concepts mentioned are foreign to me. How do you learn about “drop” or general foot characteristics to be able to work on the issue? The balls of my feet were killing me after a backpack hunt this year. Im in a small town with no expert stores around.

I can't speak to anyone with injuries but in my experience with barefoot shoes and boots which is all I wear, after a long day on my feet my feet might be a bit sore, like your muscles after a work out maybe, but they recover quickly and are generally good as "new" the next morning.

I have very narrow feet and high arches, was a major problem with regular hikers, Asolo worked best for me bit I developed corns on my pinky toes so bad they were rubbing holes in my socks!

I was shocked that he sloppy fit of my Vivo's resulted in zero blisters, or hot spots anywhere despite the loose fit, I even swap out laces for stretch cord and just snug them up, my favorite Vivo Magna leather is more of a shoe as the ankle portion is like a sock, they just work, have crazy miles on them on and off trail!
