How do you like the coup de Grace??I finally got to the range to test these out in my 7PRC and 22 Creedmoor. Overall I think it is a great upgrade to the HNT26. Felt recoil is so difficult to quantify and accurately compare, but I did feel a marked improvement after adding the backstop. I did notice as others have mentioned that the structuring does capture and hold quite a bit of dirt.
I will really start putting it through its paces soon in the back country!

It is an awesome action! Best bang for the buck out right now in my opinion. It is so feature rich for that price point! How do you like the coup de Grace??
Just watched the video. It’s really annoying that he doesn’t use units in his graphs. That being said, people talk about stuff here (like stock design etc) while showing zero actual data (no accelerometers, no pressure sensors, no nothing) so it’s kind of hard to knock him for that? You make a valid point about the data. That bothered me too when I watched the video, but I am a chemist so I realize I’m already prone to nerdom and questioning data. Nonetheless, he’s got my attention. If he comes out with a pad that fits the XLR carbon buttstock, I’ll likely try it for my lightweight 7saum.
I've used one extensively this summer on a heavy recoiling Tikka. Spend half the money (or less) on a Limbsaver AirTech pad, they work better than the more expensive backstop.Wondering if anyone has real world use of this pad yet? Looking for a lightweight option for my tikka

I'm curious, since you got them for very different calibers - could you actually feel a difference in them with your hands? If you put the 22CM pad on the 7PRC would it be less effective? Just curious how much custom per caliber and gun weight and muzzle device customization there really is... Or are they pretty much the same for your 2? I mean it logically the idea makes sense to design per those factors to reduce impulse, but to do it accurately for real it would require a huge sample of rifle weights per caliber and with/without muzzle device etc. A rough spectrum might still be useful , but not as custom as they claim. And how did it perform this fall? I mean if not so custom and not much better than limbsaver I'll save my money; but open to the idea it is actually better...So I received mine today and wanted to give some first impressions. I won’t be able to shoot for a few more weeks, but wanted to provide my initial thoughts.
-Shipping was quick! I placed an order and was told I would get them mid February, but they arrived three weeks prior to that.
-Upon receiving the packaging seems very “Etsy”…it is nice but doesn’t really stick with their high tech solution to recoil theme.
-Quality video instructions of installation are provided
- Fitment is perfect, to me this is the current best option for the HNT26.
-The recoil pads feel VERY 3D printed, I am a little worried about how they will hold up. I could also see the lattice structure getting filled with dirt when shooting prone.
- everything feels just barely unfinished, like edges pictured. I realize this is due to the limitations of 3D printing used. Once you accept it for what it is, it feels overall well made.
- I am overall satisfied with the purchase, however, I hope to be even more impressed with the function!

I also got an obi cush pad in their black Friday sale. seems like a much better option for the price over the backfire padIf anyone is looking for another HNT26 option, OBI has been producing a similar one for a while now. I don’t have experience with the backstop, but the OBI Cush Pad has been a huge upgrade over the MDT. It’s quite a bit less expensive too.
