Backcountry guilty pleasure

I will get KFC, Maccas or Subway for my walk in lunch + dinner. Nice to be a fatty before the hunting starts.

Other than that I will pack a couple energy drinks just as a pick me up, don't drink coffee or eat breakfast so it helps on the sore days

I’m in that same boat man!
At least both of you got to hunt last year! I was so busy that for the first time in my life I didn’t get to spend a single day in the field during season. It was painful. I’d rather eat a tag sandwich any day than not get to hunt at all! Here’s to a better year for all of us. 🍻

With ultralight everything, sawing handles off toothbrushes (or not bringing them), etc. what is a creature comfort you drag with you regardless of the weight penalty? IE fingernail clippers, book, bourbon, anything goes
A couple beers. If less than 2 miles lol

Mine is always food. I have brought the following at some time or another on backpack hunts:

6 pack PBR tall boys
multiple cans of pringles
giant bag of Fritos
multiple burritos
a pizza
turkey sandwiches for 3 days
eggs

The list goes on and on and on. Back in the day working for the USFS cutting in new trail I hauled 20lb of watermelon 5 miles into the job site.
